One of these candidates, Kendall A. Blanchard, President at Fort Lewis College, will be here on Tuesday for questions during an open forum at 3 p.m. in the Smith Chapel, followed by a reception. All faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to attend. Kallgren presents Provost’s lecture on Monday Dr. Carl Kallgren, associate professor of psychology, and 2001 winner of the Penn State Behrend Council of Fellows Outreach Award will present “The CORE Model of Social Intervention and The New University Paradigm” at the fourth coming Provost’s Lecture, scheduled for Monday at noon. CORE, which stands for Behrend’s Center for Organizational Research and Evaluation, is an outreach effort of the school of Humanities and Social Sciences that was created in 1998 to assist social service agencies with teenage pregnancy prevention. Since then, CORE has become a major influence in Erie County, and has expanded funding for social services, leveraging more than $5 million in direct and indirect funding for social ser vice projects in Erie County. Kallgren’s talk will take place in the Lec ture Hall (Room 117) and will be followed by a reception in Reed 113.
