- On Saturday, Nov. 3, RASO will meet at 7:15 p.m. in Bruno's for free pop
and pizza. This gathering will be a great opportunity for fellow adult students
to meet one another and socialize. Following the meeting, adult students will
go to the Studio Theatre to watch "Sand Mountain."
Feed the Need, running now through Nov. 17, is an effort to collect food
for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Boxes will be placed around campus
for food donations. Break-Out Day, where groups go door to door in the
community collecting food, occurs on Nov. 10. Anyone wishing for more
information can contact Abby Long at asll47@psu.edu.
FALL STUDENT LEADERSHIP
- On Nov. 17 and 18, Behrend's Fall Leadership Conference will be held at
Peek 'N Peak in Clymer, NY. A fee of $l5 per person covers lodging and food
costs. For more information, call Student Activities at x 6171. Deadline for
registration is Nov. 2.
- Peter Leyden, Knowledge Developer for Global Business Network, will
speak on Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the McGarvey Commons. Leyden, a "futur
ist," will lecture on how technological and economics developments will set
the path for the future.
- The Ying Quartet, a family from Chicago, will perform Nov. 6 at noon in the
Wintergarden. The quartet consists of three violins and one cello, all well
balanced in harmony. The performance is free an open to the public.

rofessor John Kerwin plays St. Peter in Sand Mountain
Sand Mountain, a play by Romulus Linney, will be presented in the Studio
Theatre, November 2, and 3 at 8 p.m., November 4 at 2:30 p.m.
The play features two parts, Sand Mountain Matchmaking and Why The Lord
Came To Sand Mountain. In the first part, Rebecca, played by Jeanine Noce, is
sought after by four males all attempting to win her heart to hold her hand in
marriage.
In the second half, The Lord and Saint Peter visit an unwed couple with
14 children.
Tony Elliot directs Sand Mountain.
