Enriquez's first year was a smash hit by Jeanine Noce assistant sports editor Ramon Enriquez's, in just his first year on Behrend's tennis team, managed to win the third doubles all conference tournamenethis past weekend with partner Bill Weisberg. The team was able to achieve their goals. Enriquez and his other 11 teammates competed in the AMCC tournament, held at the Pennbriar athletic club. Enriquez and Weisberg were able to achieve four points in their match against Frostburg State and claimed the title. "My will to win is the aspect that I brought to the team," said Enriquez. He has only played tennis for two years - in first and second singles during his senior year in high school on the varsity tennis team. Enriquez played N 0.3 doubles and N 0.6 singles on the varsity team. "My forehand and also when my serve was on were my two strengths," said Enriquez. He gained these two strengths throughout the season and by practicing. The team conditioned before the beginning of the season and also practiced every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. "Classes are not that demanding this year, due to it being my senior year. I found that being involved in both was not an obstacle," said Enriquez. He is also a member of OLAS (Organization of Latino American Students), for which he held the BEHREND SPORTS MEN'S BASEBALL School Pitt-Bradford Frostburg St Penn State Altoona Penn State Behrend Pitt-Greensburg La Roche Pitt-Bradford 5 Behrend 4 P.S.
