The liquor store: Helping Behrend students get dates for more than 50 years

Not long ago, I had the
pleasure of shopping at the
Wines and Spirits store,
located on Buffalo Road in
Harborcreek. Upon arriving, I
was asked to show my ID.
which I happily handed over.
The clerk greeted me with a
smile and a nod, walking me
personally to the tequila
section.
The store presented me
with aisle after aisle of top
notch liquors and pre-mixed
drinks. The Wines and Spirits
store also caters to all bud
gets. The average college

SORRY TO BOTHER YOU AGAIN: A bandit robbed a Chevron station in Albuquerque, N.M.,
and then ran to his getaway car where he discovered, to his dismay, that he had lost the keys. The
clerk was talking to the cops on the phone when the frantic robber ran back into the office to look
for them. Then the police came, and the guy just gave up.
SO, WHAT DID YOU LEARN IN SCHOOL TODAY? North Bergen, N.J., High School stu
dents played a sex game in the classroom, apparently out of the sight of the teacher, who was sitting
at her desk doing paperwork the whole time. At least nine kids engaged in various sex acts during a
game of "Truth Or Dare," and, at one point, their giggling attracted the attention of the teacher
who came down the aisle and asked what they were doing. They stopped, but resumed the game as
soon as she went back to her desk. She has been suspended.
A LEADER WHO KNOWS WHERE HE'S HEADED: Greg Ritchey, a Green Party candidate
for city council in Columbus, Ohio, scheduled a press conference at City Hall, then got lost trying
to find the building. As reporters waited for him, he went instead to the Ohio Statehouse, where he
wondered where everybody was. Finally a reporter called him on his cell phone and gave him
directions.

offer some of the most popular
cheap wines and mixed drinks
already chilled. The cooler
features Arbor Mist (that is
usually on special) and Jack
Daniels mixed coolers. They
also have long time favorites
such as Bartles and Jaymes.
Just when I thought it couldn't
get any better, 1 pushed my
buggy up to the checkout to find
more than a dozen shelves of

all types of liquor. These
"sample sized" drinks cost
anywhere between $1.99 and
$4.99! A few extra dollars
will get you a taste of
something new every time.
They also usually have
samples on special for 99
cents! Pucker was the special
when I was there and I got
one of each flavor. They
proved to make my taste
buds tingle!
So if you are 21 or over,
why not make the Wines and
Spirits store your hot spot
this weekend? It offers the
best, and then stuff for the
rest of us who are poor.
