Cameron's presentation, entitled “Body Al chemy,” is the speaker's artistic journey through the use of pho tographic portrait and personal insight exploring the transgender movement and related issues. The author will also provide a book sale and signing following the lecture. Some images of the lec ture contain nudity; those offended by artistic nudity may not wish to attend. 8:00 p.m - Babes In Arms , ARC BKHREND BECKONS WITH BABES INARMS When the Rodgers and Hart musical Babes in Arms opened on Broadway in 1937, it was about a group of kids who plan to put on a show in a barn. At Penn State Behrend, it is about a group of kids who plan to put on a show in a gym—Penn State Behrend’s new ARC. The Behrend production is scheduled for tonight and Saturday, at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 25, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling Babes in Anns frustrations, and ro of college-age wou ! and actresses at a s theatre in New Eng! When their tyrannic producer work them so hard that they never have a chance to i showcase their jv talents, the group ' decides to produce their own show on their own time. While the plot of Babes in Arms is simple, the music is not. The show contains some of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart’s most memorable and time-tested songs: Where or When, I Wish / Were in Love Again, My Funny Valentine, Johnny One Note, and The Lady is a Tramp. Dr. Gary Viebranz, who heads the college’s instrumental music programs, will oversee the orchestra for the show, and Dr. Daniel Barnard, head of choral music programs, will oversee the vocalists. Behrend graduate Geoff Bach will choreograph the dance numbers. March 26, in the Reed Wintergarden. Triple Helix was created in 1905 by three award-winning and internationally known musicians: violinist Bayla Keyes, pianist Lois Shapiro, and cellist Rhonda Rider. They are the artists-in residence at Wellesley College and have become popular for their signature lecture-recitals in the academic setting. The name “Triple Helix” is derived from the artists' belief in the spiraling energies that generate life, similar to the intertwin ing of DNA strands. 4:00 p.m 7:00 p.m. Erie County Executive Republican Primary Debate, Reed Commons Behrend Martial Arts Club Meeting, ARC 8:00 p.m Tuesday, march 27: 5:30 p.m The film All About My Mother, directed by Pedro Almodovar and starring Antonia San Juan and Cecilia Roth, will be showing on Tues day, March 27, in the Reed Lecture Hall. This is the premier film in the 2000-2001 Women’s Film Series. All About My Mother is set in Madrid, where a nurse, portrayed by Roth, loses her teenage son and vows to fulfill the boy’s wish to find the father he never knew. A melodramatic search begins, bringing the grieving mother in contact with a variety of characters. Koestner received national attention for speaking out against date rape when she went public with her story after being sexu ally assaulted by a fellow student at the College of William and Mary. Koestner has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morn ing America , NBC Nightly News, and CNBC. She was featured in a TIME Magazine cover article for her ground-breaking date rape story. This lecture will take place on Monday, April 2, at noon in the Reed Lecture Hall. Andaleeb is the recipient of the 2000 Council of Fellows Faculty Research Award. Andaleeb’s research focuses on consumer behavior in health care, education, and marketing. He has written and presented numerous papers on these topics. A native of Bangladesh, Andaleeb serves as an editor for the new Journal of Bangladesh Studies, which is sponsored by the Bangladesh Development Initiative and the Association for Economic and Development Studies on Bangladesh. Andaleeb was also instrumental in the development of the marketing major at Penn State Behrend.
