FOOD AND CLOTHING DRIVE
Delta Sigma Pi, Behrend’s professional business fraternity, will
be sponsoring a Food and Clothing Drive on Saturday, Novem
ber 18. The fraternity will be set up at Valerio’s Italian Restau
rant on East 38th Street to receive food and clothing donations.
Also, the members of the fraternity will be going around town
from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., picking up bags of donated items
on peoples’ front porches.
All clothing proceeds are to be donated to the city mission and
all food donations will be delivered to the Second Harvest Food
Bank.

A Closer Look
CHILD CARE CENTER MEETINGS
The College’s Faculty Council has formed an Ad Hoc Com
mittee on the Status of the Child Care Center. The committee
has been organized to advise the Provost’s Office as to whether
or not the College should continue to maintain the CCC. This
committee is looking for students to express their opinions re
garding this matter.
There will be two meetings held in order to discuss these is
sues, meetings that are open to the campus community. One will
be held on Tuesday, November 28, at noon in Reed 114. The
other will be held on Thursday, November 30, at 6:00 p.m. in the
Child Care Center (which is located at 5650 Station Road). Both
meetings are open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other
members of the College.

On Saturday, December 16, Penn State Behrend will hold its
fall 2000 commencement. The commencement speaker will
be Dr. John Rossi, associate professor of history.
The ceremony will be held at Noon in the ARC with full
academic regalia. In case of severe weather that would inhibit
travel, the ceremony will be postponed to Sunday, December
17. If in doubt, call x6OOO. A reception will be held immedi
ately following the ceremony to honor graduates.
If planning to attend, please contact the Provost’s Office at
