that would be trying to make national

Before we entered the arena, we put
some finishing touches on our signs,
including five poster boards that read
“TABLES, LADDERS, CHAIRS,
OH MY” for what would turn out to
be the greatest match of the night, and
possibly one of the greatest of all time.
We then painted our chests with R-
O-C-K-Y and entered the arena for
Summerslam 2000, proudly
representing the Behrend newspaper
with a Beacon 3:16 sign to
commemorate the occasion.
The event featured many great
matches and had to be one of the
greatest pay-per-views of all time.
The night ended with The Rock
retaining his championship with Kurt
Angle walking out with the owner’s
daughter Stephanie McMahon.
We walked out with memories to
last a lifetime...or at least until
Survivor Series this November, where
I’m sure we’ll make another journey
to another WWF pay-per-view
spectacle.
