CLOSES 1999-2000 LOGAN
SERIES
The Pacifica Quartet will of
fer the final performance in the
tenth anniversary season of
Music at Noon: The Logan
Wintergarden Series in the
Reed Union Building at Penn
State, Erie, The Behrend Col
lege. It will be free to the pub
lic. Guests are encouraged to
bring a brown paper hag lunch
to enjoy the informality of this
lunchtime event.
The Pacifica Quartet includes
four gifted musicians of vary
ing international origin. The
countries represented are Paki
stan, Korea, Australia, and the
United States.
Stop at the Bookstore to pick
up your "passport" and have it
stamped at each "station," so
you can gain discounts on book
store purchases (except text
books and software) and have
a chance to win a vacation gift

forms chamber music and par
ticipates in education and out

"PASSPORT TO FITNESS"
To ensure that everyone trav
eling during spring break has an
enjoyable time, the Penn State
Behrend Bookstore will offer
the "Passport to Fitness" pro
gram on Wednesday, March 1,
from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front
of the Bookstore in the Reed
Union Building.
Topics such as skin care for
vacationers, personal safety,
exercises, and healthy eating
tips (along with some tasty
samples) will be covered dur
ing the program.

SISTER! SISTER! BY
VINNIE BURROWS
Celebrate African American
History Month and Women's
History Month by attending
this one-woman masterpiece
by Vinnie Burrows.
Burrows portrays 15 women
of different ages, races, and na
tionalities. She uses the words
of gifted writers and the true
life stories of women of
Soweto, Ireland Italy Harlem,
and Appalachia, among others.
An award winning actor,
writer and producer, Ms. Bur
rows began her career as a child
performer on radio. She has
performed on Broadway, tele
vision, in films, and at college
campuses in the United States
and abroad.
Sponsored by the Association
of Black Collegians and
Women Today, Sister! Sister! is
free and open to to public on
March 1, 2000 at 7 p.m. in
Reed Commons.
