The final snapshots of the game's greatest player had been taken, and no one again would see Jordan in "his most dangerous state" of wearing the Jordan sneakers and the Chicago Bulls' number 23 jersey. You would only see Jordan out of his element, wearing suits and wingtips. No danger there, right? He got that distinction because of his desire to win and his competitive nature. The man hates to lose. He doesn't accept it and he v,on't tolerate it. So when Michael Jordan was named the President of Basketball Operations for the Washington Wizards, the e itire mindset of the organization changed. It's no longer acceptable to lose. You lose, you're out. Jordan wasted no time in setting the record perfectly straight. He called his team "underachieving" and his employees "disposable." People are beginning to si:e a "different" Jordan. Illinois nothing different about this Jordan in this new role. The ball might not be in his hands, but the ball is in his court. Ask any of Jordan's former teammates what it was like to fail to meet the man's expectations. They'll tell you that they weren't just taught to hate losing, they feared it. It's not as if the Wizards are a team lacking talent. If you listed thier players three years ago, and got someone to believe that they all were in the same uniform, you would automatically think "championship contender."
