Freshman Senator is not a title of popularity, but an
important role of leadership. Each senator carries the responsi
bility to work with the freshman class and ensure them an
exceptional and enjoyable year of growth. To fulfill this duty,
ability and intelligence are important, even more important are
the availability and passion which I would bring to serving you
and keep the freshman class as one community. I believe
together we can achieve our potentials.
I feel that if I were to be elected as an SGA Senator, I would
enthusiatically represent the student body of Penn State Be
hrend. I wish to become more involved in Behrend and its
activities, and feel that being an SGA Senator would enable me
to become more active and alio* me to apply my dedication to
the best interests of the student body. I am looking forward to
serving you as a responsible and dependable SGA Senator.
I feel I would be a good senator because I feel I am
very aware of the needs and desires of the students at Behrend
I would like to see all the organizations and activities at Be
hrend get the support and recognition they deserve.
I do have a lot of experience with student government,
but I believe the only important thing about me, concerning
being Freshman Rep, is that I want to be your representative.
I'm not doing this because I think some future employer will
look favorably upon it. I want to get involved in SGA. I will
always strive to do what has never been done, and to get what
Even though I have only been with us a few weeks, and
I am not yet a senator, I am already quite active on campus and
in the SGA. lam a member of the technology fee committee,
that is working to find out where the fee is going and if it could
better reflect student interests. I will also be traveling to
University Park with Andrea for Commonwealth College
Student Government Meetings.
I believe I would make a good SGA Senator because I
would pay heed to the interests of the student body and try to
further those interests to the limits of my office.
I want to help adapt die Behrend campus to better fit
students wants and needs. As an SGA Senator, I am confident
that I can properly represent the opinions and interests of the
student body. Currently, I an% also an Interfraternal Council
(IFC) representative, which i t vimilar to SGA but represents
the interests of Greek fraterni s, and a member of the Sigma
Tau Gamma national fraternity. I feel that my organization,
dedication and experience will help make Behrend campus
fitter, happier and more productive.
