What advice would you have for first-year students? Become a part of Penn State Be hrend. There are many opportunities to get involved through programs, activities, clubs, and organizations. You can't do everything but do some thing! I'd also advise students to be them selves. There is a great deal of peer pressure on college campuses and stu dents sometimes find themselves in awkward or uncomfortable situations. My experience tells me that one of the only things that you can expect in life is that many things continually change. Much of one's happiness in life is directly related to how well you adjust to changes in your life. If it feels like things are getting tough, ask for help.
