Spring infects Behrend by Scott Warofka staff writer It always comes at the end of the Spring semester. Traditionally it is one of the most anticipated events on cam pus. No, it’s not finals week. It’s the Battle of the Bands. This year, the event has a new format and a new name. The campus will be overcome by “Spring Fever” on Friday, April 24 at 3:oopm. This year the event will differ from the past in that no longer will there be a competition between local bands. This year the music will be provided by Pittsburgh rockers The Ike McCoy Band, Bitter Delores, Nixon Clocks, and Erie’s own 70’s tribute band, Reunion. In between acts, local radio station, Rocket 101, will rock the apartment quad. Spring Fever/ZYR is more than music. Vendors will be on hand sell ing items such as jewelry, candles and clothing. Student organizations will also take part in the event by setting SGA Budget Committee Group Omicron Delta Kappa Omicron Delta Kappa and Delta Sigma Pi (co-sponsorship) Joint Residence Council Panhellenic Council Panhellenic and Interfratemity Councils (cosponsorship - Greek Info Night) Panhellenic and Interfratemity Councils (cosponsorship - Fall Greek Forum) Alpha Sigma Alpha Society of Automotive Engineers Psychology Club Newman Association Society of Undergraduate Economists Accounting Club Multi-Cultural Council Student Programming Council Fantasy Gamers Mechanical Engineering Club Association of Black Collegians Reality Check Cheerleaders Biology Club Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and Society of Women Engineers (co-sponsorship) Lion Ambassadors Commuter Council Commuter Council and Student Programming Council (co-sponsorship) Astronomy Club Society of Physics The Astronomy Club and Physics Club(co-sponsorship) fever up a variety of booths.
