Chris’ daughter, Katie, was born prematurely last Janu ary, but with support from the March of Dimes, Katie was given a chance for a healthy life. For the second time, Behrend will be offering AAAS 146: The Life and Thought of Martin Luther King Jr. during Fall 1998. The course, last taught during Spring 1997, was very popular with students. It fulfills ei ther the general humanities or the di versity requirement for graduation. The Spring 1998 Commencement cerempny will, be held on Saturday, May 16 at noon. In case of inclement weather, two ceremonies will be held. The first will begin at noon in Erie Hall and the second will begin at 2:30 p.m. The Penn State-Behrend Child Care Center will host an Open House on Wednesday, April 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the center, 5650 Station Road. The event, which is open to the public, includes children who arc currently enrolled and their families. Teachers and child care workers will be available during that time to meet with prospective students and parents to discuss the program.
