The Penn State - Behrend men's
basketball team had somewhat of a
strange week, as their nine game win
ning streak was stopped by Allegh
eny, and they tied the all- time Be
hrend record for wins in a season(l6)
by squeaking ,out a victory against
Lake Erie.
By splitting the pair this week, the
Lions record moves to 16 -6, while
moving their AMCC record to 7 - 1.
The Lions can put themselves in a
tie for first place in the AMCC with a
victory against Pitt - Bradford in their
last game of the year.
Earlier in the week, poor shooting
seemed to be the culprit, as the Lions
shot a mere 28% in their 57 - 49 loss
to Allegheny.
The Lions went into the half with a
25 -23 lead, before coming out and
shooting just 21% from the field in

the second half, while being
outscored 34 - 24.
Allegheny shot an impressive 65%
from the field in the second half to
put the game away.
Brock Bovaird came up big in the
losing effort with 18 points and 4
steals. Ashley Orris and Jason
Paloskey chipped in 15 and 10 points
apiece, while Brian Emick and Nate
Willson controlled the boards with 10
and 7 rebounds respectively.
Last night, the Lions overcame a
flat start before holding off an over
matched Lake Erie club by a score
of 67 - 59.
Lake Erie came into the game with
an overall record of 2 - 19, but gave
the Lions a run for their money, as
they came as close as four points of
the lead in the last five minutes of
the game.

played a big part in their victory.
"We didn't play well, but a win is a
win," said junior guard Matt Plizga.
"We had an off night, but it was nice
to tie the school record for wins,"
added sophomore forward John Park.
Leading the scoring for the Lions
were Brock Bovaird with 23 points,
and Jason Paloskey with 19. Both
players also pulled down 7 rebounds.
Brian Emick and Nate Willson each
poured in 12 points, with Emick also
snagging 7 boards. Ashley Orris came
up big on the boards with 10, while
also knocking in 7 points.
The Lions will have two more
opportunity's to break the school
record for wins in a season when they
host Pitt - Greensburg on their final
home game Saturday at 8:00 p.m..
They then travel to Pitt - Bradford for
their final regular season game on
Monday at 8:00 p.m.
