The Penn State- Behrend women's
basketball team won their first AMCC
matchup of the year, defeating Pitt-
Bradford by a score of 60-38.
The win moves the Lions ahead to
9-2, while setting their AMCC con

The Lady Lions played tenacious
defense the whole game, plugging the
passing lanes and creating steals and
turnovers, which in turn led to offen
sive buckets.
"We create a lot of turnovers from
our defense. I think our defense cre
ates a spark for our offense," said se
nior captain Emily Marini.
The game started out close for the
first five minutes of the half until the
Lady Lions went on a 14-0 run,
sparked by their pressure defense
which put them ahead 22-7. From that
point on, the Lions never looked back
as they closed out the first half lead-
"We played
awesome defense
the entire game.
That helped us
get turnovers and
easy buckets"
