Thursday, September 22,1994 King and queen to Coronation by Laura Borawski News Editor Homecoming king and queen will be crowned as a part of Parents and Families Weekend scheduled for Sept3o-Oct. 1. Eight women have been nominated as candidates for homecoming queen. They include: Nicole Gialanella, Cora Macßeth, Brenda McGraw, Sarah Melchiorre, Jody Obrosky, Foluso Oguntoyinbo, Earla Simpson and Lourdes Tirado. Two men are nominated for homecoming king: Matthew D. Cissne and Marcos Lopez. Gialanella is a science major and a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha for which she has saved as chaplain and philanthropic chair. Macßeth is a chemistry major and has been a Lion Ambassador for the past one-and a-half years. She is the current vice president She is a resident assistant and a member of the chemistry club. McGraw is an English major and a member of the Roundtable Society. She is also a member of the University Scholars Program and has been on the Dean's list. Melchiorre is a communication major and a member of Theta Phi Alpha Behrend’s new by Jerry M. She is a member of Alpha Phi Omega, the secretary of Association of Black Collegians, a resident senator for SGA, and member of the psychology club, HRPC. and JRC. August 22: A student’s vehicle was being pushed down Jordan Road in an effort to jump start it when it was struck by another car driving in the opposite direction. There J was minimal damage to both vehicles and no reported injuries. August 24: Students in the residence halls reported receiving harassing telephone calls. August' 27: Three students were found by Police and Safety officers to be letting the air out of the tires of a vehicle parked on campus. ( August 28: During the investigation of a parking complaint, Police and Safety officers found a non-student to have a “palm knife” in his vehicle.
