goes to the playoffs and makes
school history with their first
NCAA bid, you're going to have
some recognition.

The Lady Lions had all that,
and in return for their great
season one of their key players
was honored with an award.

Anne Bonner, center for the
Lady Lions this year, was named
to the ECAC All-Star South 2nd
Team.

Bonner said, "I am very
flattered that I was chosen, but
without my teammates I wouldn't
be there."

The Lady Lions’ 21-6 record
displayed the kind of work and
dedication the team strives for.
This effort is what Bonner put

Bonner
receives
award

With the help of her
teammates, Bonner had the
strongest season of her career
averaging 16 points and 7 re
bounds per game for the cagers.
She was one of six key seniors
who showed their leadership and
drive in reaching their goal (the
NCAA tournament).
Even though she received the
award Bonner said, "There's no
award that could compare to the
national championship."
With their best season over,
she reflected saying, "I think we
had a great season. This gets us
nationally recognized and a lot of
people have seen that"
This has been a season for
Bonner to remember in many
ways. Another impressive re
cord and a bid to the NCAA
tournament
