Roll Up Your Sleeve and Save A Life: Today the Health and Wellness Center and
Tau Kappa Epsilon will host the Erie Community Blood Bank in the former library space
of the Reed Building from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The donation process takes only 30-40
minutes and a single donation can save up to four lives. For more information, please
contact the Health and Wellness Center at x 6217.
Logan Winter garden Series Continues: with a performance by Quetzal, an Afro-
Andean world beat music group on Wednesday, March 16 at noon in the Wintergarden of
the Reed Building. , ,
Study Skills Workshop: The workshop "Improving Reading Rate and
Comprehension—Part 2" will be presented on Monday, March 7 at 5 p.m. in Academic
55. The next workshop, ‘Test-Taking Strategies,” will be on Monday, March 14.
Behrend Scholarships: Penn State-Behrend academic and leadership scholarship
applications are available in the Financial Aid Office. Deadline is Friday.
Bookstore Hours: The bookstore will be closed on the following dates:
Saturday, March 5
Saturday, March 12
Saturday, April 2
It will also close Monday, March 7 at 4:30 p.m. and there will be no other evening hours
during the rest of spring break. Inventory closings are tentatively scheduled for either
Friday or Saturday, April 29 or 30.
Real Estate Career Seminar: Delta Sigma Pi presents "What are the Advantages to a
Career in Real Estate" with Mary E. Wiesen, director of education and training for
Holland Metro Realtors, Inc., today at 7:30 p.m. in Nick 8.
Spring Commencement: will be held on Saturday, May 14 at noon on the Reed lawn,
weather permitting. The deadline to order caps and gowns from the bookstore tomorrow.
Baccalaureate and associate caps and gowns costs are $17.60, and for graduate candidates
rental cost is $29.05.
National Competitions Informational Meetings: Learn more about the Fulbright,
Truman, Marshall, Rhodes, Mellon, Goldwater and many other prestigious national
fellowships, scholarships and internships. Contact the Provost’s Office at x 6160 for
more information.
Tutors Still Needed: for die adopt-a-school tutoring program at Diehl Elementary
School. Transportation is provided for after-school tutors Tuesday-Thursday from 2:30-
3:30 p.m. Students with their own transportation can sign up for other times between 9-
11 a.m. and noon-2:30 p.m. Few more information or an application, call or stop by the
Provost's office (x 6160) or the Learning Assistance Center (x 6014).
Free HIV/AIDS Testing: will be offered this semester by appointment at the Health
and Wellness Center located in the Carriage House. All testing is strictly confidential.

Committee of the Pennsylvania State University and Roche Biomedical Laboratories. For

Police Report
Friday, February 28
A tow truck was called to remove a car
parked in a 24 hour a day faculty/staff
parking place. A state citation was also
issued.
A car parked in the daycare parking lot was
vandalized. This case is under investigation.
Tuesday, March 1
Police confiscated a wooden club from a
vehicle stopped for a traffic violation.
Further action is pending.
SGA Report
The final budget information session for
student clubs will be on Monday, March 14
in Reed 117. All club treasurers should
attend if they have not been to a previous
information session.
Budget request aTe due on March 18 in the
office of Student Activities.
Any student interested in running for a
position on SGA needs to pick up an election
petition and to keep March 16 and March 25
in mind. On Wednesday, March 16 an
information forum will be held at the SGA
meeting. At this meeting senators and
officers will discuss their positions and
responsibilities. Petitions for candidacy must
be returned to the SGA office by Friday,
March 25 by no later than 5:00 p.m. Those
who do not meet this deadline will not be
considered for election.
