First, the student seating area is unassigned "festival" seating. Second, a number of recent alumni routinely migrate from the reserved seating area to the student section in order to sit with their friends. Third, not enough ushers were available to keep the aisles and ramps clear. After several meetings, the committee made the following recommendations: devise a system that would provide day-of game reserved seating in the student section; increase the number of ushers in the student section and prevent migration from other arms of the stadium to the student section. The new process of day-of game reserved seating provides individual students and groups the opportunity to sit with friends on the day of the game and change that location for each of the home games.
