the Lehigh Valley railroad shops
at this place went into effect today
by which a number of departments
heretofore under the supervision
of Master Mechanic Kells were

AN APPROACHING WEDDING
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Shrimp
of North Elmer avenue have
nounced the approaching marriage
of their daughter, Miss Rachel
May Shrimp, to Mr, Lewis Emory
Field. The wedding will be cele-
brated at the home of the bride's
parents on Wednesday, September
20, at 12 o'clock m, and will be
witnessed by relatives of the con
tracting parties and a few invited
guests. These young people are
well known and popular, and their
many friends are already extending
felicitations over the coming event.

this weck making preparation for

next. Several repairs are being
made at the high school building.
The scats for the Miller street
building have not yet arnved.
They were shipped a few days ago
and are expected to arrive so as to
be in place a few days after school
