PHir.ATiytPHf a, Fcbiury 10, 1838. T,OR twenty year I was severely afflicted with A Tarry. h on the Face and Head: the disesse commenced when I was seventeen year old, and continued until the Fall of 1836, varying in vio lence, but without ever dianppearing. During most nf the time, great part of my face . covered with the eruption, frequently attended with violent itch ing; my bead swel ed'al limes until it felt e if it would biiMt the swelling was so gie.it. that I could scarcely get my hat on. During the long period thai I wasnfflirted wi'h the disease, I used a great many plications, (among thpm several celebrated prepaiation.-) as w. II as taking inward remedies, including a number of Mile of Sivaim's Panarra, Extract of Sarsopnrilh, Ac, In fact, it would be impossible jo enumerate all the medicines I used. I was also tinder the care of two of the most dis tinguished physicians of this city, but without re ceiving tw ch benefit, and I despaired of ever being cured. In the fill ol 18'lfi, the disease nt the titnft being very violent, I commenced using the Jfone Ointment, (prepared bv Vaugh.in A Davis.) In a few applications Ihe violent itching ceased, the swelling abated, the 1 ruption began to disappear, and la-fore I had used ajar the diease was entirely cuied. It has now la-en nearly a year and a half since, and there ia not a velige of Ihe disease re maining, except the scars from ihe deep pits formed by the diesse. It is impossible for me to descril in a crrtificate the severity of the disease and my suffering, but I will be pleased to give a fuller ac count to any person wanting further satisfaction, who will c ill on me. At the lime I commenced using the Rose Ointment I would have given bun bed nf do'lats to le rid of the disease. Since u sing il. I have recommended it to several persons, (among Ihem my mother, w ho had the disease bad ly 011 her arm,) who w. re a t cured bv it.
