a place in our columns. Lest some of our
readers should be disposed to scan the ver
se of "Claire" with a critics eye, we would
suggest they probably have the merit of
containing "more truth than poetry." If
so, the young man who was "that night"
exposed by the moon breaking through a
cloud, to her who observed his "nightly
revels" with "despair," must be drsperate
indeed, il he does not profit by this lesson.
