SPECIAL NOTICES_
THE PLEASURES OF AUTUMN.
BY THE BARB OF TOWER BALL.
'Tie said or sung, that, in our clime,
Autumn Is a .1. - lightful time i
And so it is, beyond a doubt.
If all is right, inside and out.
Autumn is pleasant, if your fool-rte
Is ample, seasonable, good ;
And if no bilious svmptoms make
Your limbs with frightfulagnes shake.
Autumn is pleasant, if your mind,
Is alio and loClined ;X:11.5r:
Ifeehemingavarice and pride
Have left you not dissatisfied :
If you to conscience can appeal
And self-approved and happy feel,
And if your clothes ;Ire fit to wear
When Antunm's breezes chill the air.
Then, in the tine mouth of October,
Be prudent, diligent, and saner,
And if the season you would relish
Your outside man you must embellish.
To Tower Tian at once proceed,
And Autumn thou may prove indeed,
As it to poets dolt appear,
"The happiest season of the year."
