how to remove the obstruction, and obtain their usual
light
This can be done In a few mlo&tes by the application
of a few quarts of boiling water.

a piece of doth, (the common tow-linen house-cloth
answers vfery well,) and 1o pour the hot water upon the
doth until it Is thoroughly soakod.

The Directors have, THIS DAT, declared a Dividend
of SIX PER CENT, on the Capital Stock of the Com
j>any, and on the Certificates of Profits outstanding, for
be year ending December 31, 1868, without deduction
for State Tax. payable in cash to the Stockholders, os
and after tbe 12th instant.
Also, a Dividend of FIVE PER CENT., payable pro
rata on tbe Ospttal Btock and Premiums earned out of
the profits of the Company for the year ending Decem
ber 81,1868. for which certificates or Profits, bearing in
terest, will be delivered to the Stockholders, |nd to the
tailored entitled to receive the same under the pro
visions of the Charter, on and after the 12th instant.
No certificates will be isea*d for aoy Itss sum than
ten dollars, nor for any fractional pert of one dollar.
Sams less than ten dollars, and not less than one dol
lar, arp oredited to the insured on the books of the
Company, and it within any period of ten years, tbe
said credits amount to ten dollars, certificates therefor
will be issued.
Certificates of Profit are liable, tquaily with the
Capital Stock, for the losses end engagements of the
Company, and may be converted into Capital Btock at
any time, at the option ol the holder.

free of extra charge
