A terribly destructive firo occured at

The cause of the fire is supposed to
do me worK ot an incendiary, and
lleilly, one ol tho sufferers, was arrested
on a charge of being tho guilty party,
but no evidence appearing ngaiust him
he was discharged. We learn that
several other parties are strongly sus
picioued, and are being watched. Con
siderable stealing was done durinr the
fire, and several candidates for our
county jail ore already ticketed.
From the Herald we learn that many
