Joanne Kulp Daugirda - 'B2 Microbiology, and her husband, John Daugirda, 'B2 Adm J, are both Ist lieutenants in the U.S. Army stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. Joanne is chief, ambulatory care support branch, 97th General Hospital; John is adjutant, 709th Military Police Battalion. Joanne, who was at the Hazleton Campus from fall of '7B to spring of 'BO, writes "We run into Penn Staters all over the world. Whether it is someone we knew from school or a total stranger, instant friendship develops. It is a won derful feeling." John Roslevlch, Jr. -74 Theatre, was at Highacres from 1970 to 1972. Now he lives in St. Louis, Missouri, where he is property master for Reper tory Theatre of St. Louis and for Opera Theatre of St. Louis. He's also head of Roslevich Designs and won rave reviews for his set design for a musical review at the Loretto-Hilton Center in St. Louis. Donna Tarapchak - 'B3 Eng Sci, was at Highacres from the summer of '79 to summer of 'Bl. Classroom Building Renamed For Kostos The classroom/laboratory building, constructed 15 years ago while Frank C. Kostos was director of the Hazleton Campus, will be renamed in his honor at a ceremony scheduled for Sunday, May 19. The name change received official sanction in January at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of The University. The action was taken at the request of Dr. David for the Hazleton Campus with support from the Hazleton Educational Council, the Faculty General Assembly and the Student Government Associa tion. Mr. Kostos headed the Hazleton Cam pus from 1954 until his retirement in 1973. He died March 12, 1984 at age 73. Many of the associate degree programs were established during his tenure and the student population doubled in size to reach 750. The Residence Hall, the Dining Hall, the Library, and the Classroom Building were all constructed during his years as director and plans were developed and approval obtained for the Physical Edu cation Building. The rededication and renaming cere- mony is being planned by a committee consisting of Dr. Michael Matsko, Dr. Eugene Miller, Dr. Michael Santulli, Joseph McCallus and Karl Krone.
