Lastly, after living in a dorm during the week and visiting home on the week-ends, the stu dent is faced with a frightening realization--he has no real home, everything is simply temporal. When he's home for the week-ends, life is not as it used to be in the elms before college. No tele phones are ringing for him, no mail is waiting at the post office in his name, for the majority of his friends have gone their sep arate ways. And the dorm could hardly be considered home, for in two or four years he will gra duate and start a new, if just as temporary, life for himself. In conclusion, then, a stu dent must first recognize all of the conflicts and differences which face him before he can to tally adapt to his new college surroindings. He must also rea lize that once he leaves home, he can never go back -elgain. L 0 0 Thousands of Topics $2.75 per page Send for your up-to-date, 176-page, mail order catalog of 5500 topics. This allows the student to gain a clearer insight into the day to day functions of our government. Unfortunate ly however, too many students miss the opportunity because they are unaware of the re quirements of the programs. Consequently, I have been in touch with the placement office at your school and have provided the necessary details regarding the qual ifications, filing deadlines, and addresses of the agencies to be contacted. I would like to emphasize that each student should apply early to receive maximum consideration. The filing deadline for the Civil Service summer employment ex amination is January 17, and many other agencies have ap plication dealines in early Spring. I hope those students who are interested in pur suing a job in government following their graduation PRICE'S SHOE STORE 28 W.
