igan since 1948, Dr. David has
served as a professional engin
eering consultant and expert
witness for a number of indus
trial firms.
Recipient of the Distin
guished Alumnus Award of the
Wayne State University Cdalege
of Engineering, he is a member
of Tau Beta Pi, engineering
honor society, and Pi Tau
Sigma, mechanical engineering
honor society.
A member of the American
Society for Engineering Edu
cation, the Engineering Society
of Detroit and the Society of
Automotive Engineers, Dr. David
also was active in Detroit
area civic activities.
He rejoined the Wayne
State faculty in 1961 as
associate professor of mech
anical and industrial engineer
ing and in 1966 was named
assistant dean of the College
of Engineering. He assumed
his present post in 1968.
He and his wife Gloria J.
David are the parents of three
children.

WRITING CLINIC

It will accept clients on both
a referral and a walk-in basis;
and it will service each client
on a one-to-one basis as far
as possible and/or necessary.
In other words, any faculty
member who can identify a par
ticular fault or determine a
serious deficiency in a stu
dent, may recommend (or re
quire) that that student seek
aid from the Writing Clinic
(the Clinic will provide a re
cord of the student's partici
pation, if such a record is
requested by-the faculty mem
ber who refers him); or any
student, faculty member, or
staff member may voluntarily
approach the Clinic to seek
aid.
During the Fall term,
1973, Dr. Suhre will conduct
the Writing Clinic. Dr. Suhre
will sit regularly in Study
Room 5 in the Library, 6th &
7th periods Tuesday and Thurs
day to meet prospective clients
or to answer further inquiries
concerning the Clinic.
And let there be no purpose in
friendship save the deepening
of the spirit...

the club is to provide its
members with a more complete
insight into the causes and
effects of past events along
with a comprehensive spectrum
of curreht developments.
