Dobrovolsky likulak was absent when t RICHARD BERTOLINI ELECTED PRESIDENT A record turnout, at the polls on Thursday, May 11, 1961 resulted in the election of Richard Bertolini to the presidency of the Student Government Association. Elected to the Vice-Presidency was Harry Defina. Bertolini and Defina were both candidates on the AB ticket. Jim Marcolina was elected to the office of Treasurer. Thus, began a new era in Student Government, for the new office-holders will operate under the newly ratified SGA Constitution. Zelnick, outgoing SGA President, expresses his thanks to the members of the Association Council and Cabinet for their fine cooperation throughout the year Even though slowed down at times,by conflicts of ideas, the government did make some progress in securing worthwhile legislation. The President wishes to thank the following persons who served on the Counc Frank Demara, Donata Matteo, John Mikulak Art Marscicano, George Roberts, Carol Dobrovolsky, William Morgan, and Richard Bertolini for their creative ideas and contributions to the .organisation. In addition, the President extends congratulations to the following members of the Cabinet for exemplary work: Levi Kishbaugh, Special Assistant. . President; Howard Keiper, Commissioner of aken) Social Affairs; George Roberts, Director of Traffic; Art Marscicano, Comm!ssioner Athletics; Richard Bertolini, Asst. Director of Communications; and Bernie Bartos, Election Commissioner. Student government received an added impetus throughout the year due to the outstanding work of these mentioned persons.
