Bill Cowher captivates

At a small personal dinner, Bill
Cowher shared stories and jokes
with students and faculty who
were given the special oppurtunity
to get personal with this hometown
hero.
Cowher was the first to speak at
this year's speaker series, and
Behrend delivered to a crowd full
of dedicated fans in the Junker
Center after gracing his presence
at the Logan Carriage House for
the dinner in his honor.
Cowher made his place in his
tory after 15 years as the Steelers
head coach. He played in the NFL
for five years coached for seven
years as an assistant, until one Jan
uary morning he received the call
from Mr. Rooney asking him to be
the head coach for the Steelers, at
the ripe age of 34.

Junior Glennis Robash was named the Enter

after she scored three goals and added an as
sist as the women's soccer team won both their
games last week.
One win included a high scoring 4-3 win over
Mt. Union and a 1-0 nothing win against West
minster Saturday. Robash was the hero in the
Westminster game as she netted the game-win
ning goal late in the second half. She was the
main piston in the offensive production during
the Mt. Union game, scoring two of the four
goals in the game. This was necessary after a
dissapointing weekend in Fredonia.

Coach Cowher does not pick one
of these games as the best moment

"I wouldn't consider any of these

no one specific moment, but a se

seeing everything come together
that makes it worthwhile."
Besides a decorated coach and

she was the team captain and was named to the

The men's and women's

Behrend's cross-country

the numbers
Here is where the num

men's and women's team
were able to place in the

18 teams.
Looking hack on last
year, the men finished third
place out of 15 teams, and
would look to repeat their
success this year. Of
course. they would do just
that.
The competition at this
years invitational was full
of nationally ranked teams,
including Mount Union
(finishing with a 27:12 av
erage time), and Case
Western Reserve, who av
eraged a time of 28:14.
For the men, they were
able to stay with the pack,
finishing with an average
time of 28:22.
Staying on topic with the
men's team, Dennis Lydon
led the way with a time of
27:43. This would earn
Lydon the title of AMCC
Runner of the Week.
Keep in mind that Lydon
is a freshman runner. Sen
ior runner Justin Dipenti
had good things to say
about hid freshmen team
mates. "We have some re
ally good freshman that are
becoming good contribu
tors that will hopefully re
place our seniors and make
us a lot better than before,"
said Dipenti.
However, let's not forget
Lydon's cast and support

Dipenti puts it. For exam
