LEB Presents Knee Deep Shag February 1
Lion Entertainment Board will be presenting the band Knee Deep
Shag tonight at 8 p.m. in Bruno’s Cafe. Featuring an urban sound
and an upcoming fourth album release, Knee Deep Shag’s album
“Faded and Live” was voted as the 2002 Musicians Atlas Indepen
dent Music Awards winner from the Chicago region. Starting with
recognition as a finalist in the 1995 WKLO Rock Music Search,
other music awards they have earned include Best Urban Artist/
Group for the 1999 Detroit Music Awards and First Place in the 1999
WGRD Radioactive Band Competition. Their biography from
www.kneedeepshag.com includes the following about their music:
“The elderly tell us we sound like the Beatles. Baby Boomers tell us
we sound like Queen or Stevie Wonder. Soccer moms think we
sound like Squeeze. In Detroit we're urban. Who knows? We sure
don't. Playing live is what we like best.”
