His performance, which will take place in the Reed Union Building Wintergarden, is free and open to the public. Tannenbaum is a member of the distinguished Cleveland Institute of Music Conservatory piano faculty and is artist-in-residence at the Willoughby School of Fine Arts. He has produced new recital programs for 25 seasons and appears regularly in concert and chamber music settings throughout the country. His 2000 recital performance includes several pieces by Chopin: Polonaise in A Flat Minor; Nocturne in F Major; and Ballade in G Minor. Also on the program are Sonata in E Flat Major by Beethoven and Pictures at an Exhibition by Moussorgsky. Among Tannenbaum’s honors and awards are the prestigious Berl Rubenstein Memorial Scholar' •for degree study at the Clevelai Institute of Music. His compet tion victories include first prize the Battle Creek International Competition and first prize in : Michigan State University Coi certo Competition. Traditionally held on the evening of April Fool’s Day (the most appropri ate day of the year), the fact that April 1 falls on a Saturday prevented the tradition from continuing. Instead this year’s Spring Production will be held on Monday, April 10, in the Studio Theater. Refreshments will be served. Bradford 1:00 p.m 7:00 p.m. Lecture Hall WOMAN’S FILM SERIES PRESENTS The 3rd and final feature in Penn State Behrend’s Woman’s Film Series is Gabbeh. It will be shown in the Reed Union Building at Penn State Erie-The Behrend College in Room 117 on April 11 at 7 p.m. It will be free and open to the public. Originally a documentary, Gabbeh was directed and written by Mohsen Makhmaldaf, whose work has been banned in Iran because it challenges the cultural tradition of of male-dominated societies. The film is told from a woman’s point of view, virtually unheard of in the Iranian culture. The movie is also an extraordinary portrayal of nomadic tribes and their landscapes.
