Political Science students to
their knowledge at Jeoßardy

Gpmestants will need to use their
knkim, ledge in political science to
inver simple lactual questions. The
questions will he divided into various
categories that may or may not
coincide with the traditional subject
nhitters of political science. A
majority of the categories will he
based On the political science courses
oherect at Behrend.
Political Science Jeopardy will
consist of three semifinal rounds with
nine contestants. The winners of each
scmit Mal round will participate in the
iinal round. There will be an
elimination round if more than nine
contestants are present.

Zachary Irwin, associate professor of
political science; Dr. John Gamble,
professor of political science and
international law; and Dr. Matt
Davies, assistant professor of
political science, will write all
questions used in the session.
The game will include a setup with
buzzers to determine who answers
the question first. There will also be
videos advertising the prizes.
Winners of Political Science
Jeopardy will be able to choose from
various restaurant gift certificates as
prizes. Restaurants featured include
the Olive Garden, Ponderosa, and the
China Inn.
Speel and Irwin originally
developed the idea for Political
Science Jeopardy. They plan for the
event to he a success. "Our motive
in organizing the game was just to
have fun and show just how
rewarding it can be to know about
all the important things we include
within the discipline of political

A complainant reported a water leak on the first floor, west wing of
Ohio Hall. He could not find the source so he notified the Housing
Supervisor. It was later discoverd that the leak was caused by an
intoxicated student who passed out in the shower.
A student reported receiving a harrassing phone call
A visitor came to Police and Safety and reported a theft from his
vehicle that occurred on March 18.
A janitorial worker reported that a window in the North Door of the
Stair Tower was broken.

Political Science Jeopardy is one of
many programs sponsored by the
political science major this semester.
Other prcigrams include the Spring
Break trip to Washington DC, the
annual dinner held at the Olive Garden,
and the pizza party that occurs in
December.
Any Behrend student may
participate in Political Science
Jeopardy and anyone not actively
participating in the event is encouraged
to attend. " In the Jeopardy contest,
the students who do best will probably
be students who have taken several
political science classes and students
who read political coverage in
newspapers regularly, but all are
welcome to try and see how they do.
All people have to do to participate as
a contestant is show up Thursday
night," Speel remarked.
