Events CONCERT PIANIST RAYMOND JACKSON VISITS BEHREND AND PERFORMS AT BRUNO'S Professor of music at Howard Uni versity in Washington D.C., Raymond Jackson began his music career in Providence, RI. Beginning at age five, Jackson received piano instruction which led to a skill in play ing the organ. His knowledge of music at an early age inspired a career as a concert pianist, recording artist, teacher, mu sical scholar and researcher, lecturer, clinician, and adjudicator. 3ackson attended the Juilliard School in New York City where he earned a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Musical Concert Pianist Raymond Jackson performs in Bruno's, Friday, Feb 25, 2000 Arts Degrees. He has also been the recipient of numerous awards includ ing the Marguerite Long International Piano Concour in Paris. Such achievements have earned him the distinction of being the first African-American, first musician, and first person from his native state to be elected into the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame. On February 25th, Raymond Jack son will be performing at Behrend in the Bruno's Cafe at 8:30. Come out and show your support for Mr. Jack son.
